How To Create Transparent Backgrounds In Headway With No CSS

The title says it all:

  1. Select “leaf” element.
  2. Change background color to “none”
  3. Click save
  4. Smile

Note: This will also work with footers and text headers.

John you kick major ass. I’ve been waiting for this site since I purchased Headway. Being a non-coder, I’ve spent hours watching youtubes and buying CSS HTML & XHTML books…I’ve even resorted to copying code from your site and Michael Martine’s site just to see it work in headway (then delete it…I don’t think golfers would like offerings for SEO Secrets or info on NonProfs)Anyways…I’m stoked.. this website makes Headway #1 and I’m glad I trusted your advice.

thanks for the info, that’s awesome. can you modify the opacity the same way? so if i want the leaf background to be more “frosted” in relation to the background image?

You can change the opacity, but that would require CSS.

Drew – This is a tutorial for a previous version of Headway. I’d post your question in the forum for 3.0.
